Hartley McGrath is a leadership development expert, educator, and the Founder of Pause, Inc., an organizational development firm specializing in Emotional Intelligence (EQ), high-stakes communication, and team performance. With two decades of experience spanning higher education, nonprofit, and corporate sectors, Hartley designs and delivers programs that inspire meaningful, lasting change.
Academic & Program Leadership Hartley serves as an Adjunct Professor at Seattle University’s Albers School of Business and Economics, where she teaches some of the MBA program’s most popular courses, including Leading with Emotional Intelligence. She is also the director and lead facilitator of the annual 8-day EQ Intensive in the Italian Dolomites for graduate students and professionals worldwide—a signature program centered on experiential growth. Credentials and Philosophy Hartley holds an MBA from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi and has advanced training in facilitation, adult learning theory, and organizational behavior from Stanford University and the NTL Institute for Applied Behavioral Science. Her central philosophy is that the heart of Emotional Intelligence is learning to Pause—believing that genuine professional and personal transformation begins in the critical space between stimulus and response. |
